After a wait for over a month, the realme has opened ColorsOS 7 Beta registrations for Realme X in China. There are several new features that are part of the newest ColorOS 7 skin. Apart from all the luxuries of Android 10, it also packs several additional features. The beta build is meant for testing purposes and it includes several bugs and issues which can cause unstable experience for users.

It’s been two months since the launch of ColorOS 7 but unfortunately hasn’t yet rolled out for many devices. However, the OEMs have to go through the standard practice of testing for fixing bugs before rolling out to the public. Similarly, the Realme X is now ready for beta testing as the beta registrations for ColorOS 7 has started.

The interested users can opt for the registration until December 22 till 23:50 PM. It will be on the first come first serve basis, and the company intakes only 3000 candidates. The registration will be closed if the quota exceeds before the ending date.

Precautions before proceeding:

  • Make sure the user has Realme X Chinese variant.
  • Backup all the improtant data as the OS will have some bugs leading to unstable experience.
  • There won’t be any official rollback after proceeding with the beta upgrade. The user has to visit the local service center to make downgrade possible.
  • The user will have to give feedback in a QQ group. The users will be given the QQ group number during the “Sign up” process.

Steps to enter the ColorsOS 7 Beta registrations

  1. Visit the ColorOS 7 beta registration link.
  2. Once completed, wait until December 24th to see whether you’ve been selected or not.
  3. Realme wills tart pushing the maiden update from December 25-26.
  4. That’s it!

After the final beta update, the stable build will be rolled out to all the ColorsOS7 beta users. However, the non-beta users need not worry, as the stable upgrade will be pushed directly after the beta testing gets over.

Additionally, Realme X was launched this year with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with an Octa-Core processor and Adreno 616 GPU. There’s a 6.53-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display having the resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

In optics, there’s a dual rear camera module featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. A pop-up 16-megapixel selfie-camera is present on the front. It is equipped with an under-display fingerprint sensor, BL 5.0, 3765 mAh Li-Po battery with 20W fast charging and a 3.5mm audio jack.
