Amazfit was tipped to unveil its much-awaited Amazfit T-Rex smartwatch at CES, and the Huami-owned smartwatch maker didn’t let us down.

Housed in a sturdy frame, the Amazfit T-Rex is a rugged smartwatch that has been put through a series of 12 military-standard (MIL-STD-810G) quality tests. Aside from being able to withstand intense heat and cold, the smartwatch is corrosion and moisture resistant as well.

The Amazfit T-Rex has passed through 96-hour acid-alkali and 240-hour damp heat tests. Furthermore, it offers cold resistance of minus 40℃ and resistance to severe heat of 70℃. The smartwatch sports a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen that boasts an ‘always on display’ function.

The screen offers a high resolution of 360 x 360 and has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer on top for added protection, especially from accidental scratches. Moreover, it has been outfitted with useful sensors including the Ambient Light Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, and 3-Axis Acceleration Sensor.

It comes with an optical heart rate monitor (PPG). In terms of connectivity, the Amazfit T-Rex offers GPS + GLONASS and Bluetooth 5.0 LE. On top of that, the smartwatch is compatible with Android 5.0 devices or later and iOS 10.0 or later.
