It is no longer news that Realme is working on launching its own smart TV. The phone manufacturer plans to expand its product portfolio to include new products such as wearables, TVs, and audio products. Now, an executive of the company has revealed there will be an announcement related to the TV at MWC 2020.

Francis Wang, CMO of Realme Mobiles, responded to a fan asking about the Realme TV that we are going to hear “something exciting” about the TV at MWC. Based on the statement, we do not think the TV will be launched at MWC 2020 but will actually be an announcement about its features and launch. We may even get an official teaser.

Building a TV is a different ball game entirely and Realme will face stiff competition from brands that have been in the game for long such as Samsung, LG, TCL, etc., as well as fellow phone makers Xiaomi and OnePlus that also make TVs. Currently, Xiaomi is the market leader in the smart TV market in India and offers models across multiple categories.
Realme is also going to add fitness trackers (and possibly smartwatches) to its product portfolio. Madhav Sheth, the CEO of the company, already confirmed that the fitness band will launch this month.
This month is going to be a busy one for Realme starting this week with the launch of the Realme C3.
UP NEXT: Realme C3 will ship with Realme UI, powered by Helio G70, and have 12MP + 2MP dual cameras
