Realme recently launched its flagship smartphone named Realme X50 Pro 5G. Along with China, the phone was also launched in India at the same time, making it the country’s first 5G smartphone.

During the X50 Pro 5G smartphone launched in Madrid, Spain, the company’s country manager Emilio Alvarez shared some details about the company’s plans when it comes to 5G devices for this year.

He has revealed that OPPO-backed Realme is planning to introduce at least five more smartphones this year to support the next-generation network, as a part of a greater plan to build a 5G ecosystem.

The 5G devices from the brand will be across price segments and the company believes there will be demand for the feature in lower market segments. Surprisingly, Realme will cease to introduce 4G devices in China and will only launch 5G smartphones as part of a strategy called “All in 5G”.

Currently, the company has two 5G smartphones in the market — Realme X50 5G and its upgraded model — Realme X50 Pro 5G. The newly launched Pro model comes with a 6.44 Full HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate and dual punch-hole cutout.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For regulating the internal temperature of the device while intensive gaming, it is equipped with vapor cooling system.

In the camera department, there’s a quad-camera setup on the back that features a 64-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. On the front side, it comes with Sony IMX616 32-megapixel camera sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens.

The smartphone runs the latest Android 10 operating system that is customized with the latest Realme UI. It is powered by a 4,200mAh battery that supports 65W SuperDart fast charging technology which is claimed to recharge the battery in just 35 minutes.
