Realme has officially confirmed that it’s phasing out Realme UI and will switch entirely to Oppo’s ColorOS. That means upcoming Realme devices will instead come with ColorOS skin, but this change will also impact existing Realme devices.
The company has announced that eligible older Realme devices will be upgraded to the ColorOS skin. Well, ColorOS 17, to be precise. However, they didn’t publish a list of those eligible devices. So, we’ve created one based on the current software update policy.
These Realme phones will be upgraded to ColorOS 17
Even though Realme is switching to Oppo’s ColorOS, it will likely fulfill the software commitment it made earlier. Therefore, our list, which is based on the update policy, should be mostly accurate.

Alongside these smartphones, Realme will also upgrade the Realme Pad 3 tablet to ColorOS 17, based on Android 17.
Realme hasn’t revealed which phone will be the first to launch with ColorOS 17 or when it will begin rolling out ColorOS 17 to older devices. However, it’s safe to say that we’ll see ColorOS 17 on an Oppo smartphone first.
For those wondering what the shift will look like: we highly doubt much will change as Realme UI and ColorOS look similar. In fact, both custom skins have been sharing the same codebase for years. So, the change won’t be day and night. Still, users can expect some new features and changes that were previously exclusive to ColorOS.
