OPPO is now one the leading smartphone brands in the world and in the past couple of months or so, the company has expanded its product offerings from smartphones. It now has launched mobile accessories with OPPO Enco Free TWS Earbuds and a few days ago, the OPPO Watch was launched.

Now, the company has hinted that OPPO will soon be launching its own Smart TV lineup. While the exact launch date for this has not been revealed, Liu Bo, VP of OPPO and President of Emerging Mobile Terminal Business for the company has confirmed that the lineup will go official in the second half of this year.

He stated that the company’s vision regarding Internet of Things (IoT) is to create a multi-terminal, cross-scenario smart life, products which focuses on four major scenarios — personal, family, travel and office. OPPO also wants to provide a rich catalogue of products under its brand in the connected devices category.

Apart from the fact that OPPO will launch its Smart TV lineup in the second half of this year, nothing much is known about this as of now. However, we expect to know more about this Smart TV range in the coming weeks of months.

With the launch of its own Smart TV lineup, OPPO will be joining the likes of Xiaomi, Huawei, Honor, OnePlus, Motorola, and Nokia, which already have their own range of Smart TVs. On the other hand, Realme, a smartphone brand backed by OPPO, is also set to enter this market.

Realme was set to announce its Realme TV during the Mobile World Congress 2020 last month. But as the event got cancelled, the company launched the Realme X50 Pro 5G smartphone through live stream but seems to be postponed the announcement related to the Realme Smart TV. We expect to know more about this in the coming days.
