The Mi A3 received an Android 10 last month but just a few days after it began rolling out, the update was suspended due to several bugs. Now, Xiaomi is back with another Android 10 update but this time, it is for the 2018 Mi A2 Lite.

Mi A2 Lite

The Mi A2 Lite was the second Android One phone released by Xiaomi in 2018 alongside the Mi A2. The phone is actually sold in China and India as the Redmi 6 Pro. Just like its sibling, it launched with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and was later updated to Android 9 Pie. In January 2020, Xiaomi confirmed the phone will get updated to Android 10.

The Mi A2 Lite’s Android 10 update arrives with build number QDLMIXM and is 1.1GB in size. XDA Developers has a download link for the update but we advise you to wait for the OTA as comments from those who have installed it ranges from their device not booting to it being very sluggish.

If you own a Mi A2, do check your phone for the update. If it is not yet available, you may have to wait a few days. Even at that, we advise you to confirm there are no issues yet before updating.

Android 10 brings system-wide dark mode, smart replies, more customization for notifications, and new features for Digital Wellbeing.
