Some time ago, it was discovered that some OEMs tweaked their smartphones to detect when a benchmark app is running in order for the processor to run at full throttle. That practice may have stopped but OEMs still try to outpace rival models on benchmark app. AnTuTu has come to be recognised as one of the most popular apps for benchmarking smartphones and tablets. Of late, we have seen a streak of new flagship smartphones, each cruising past the previous model on AnTuTu. The Find X2 Pro is the newest flagship in recent times and OPPO says it was able to achieve the highest score on AnTuTu.

OPPO Find X2 Pro scored 637,099 points which OPPO claims is the highest score recorded on the platform by Snapdragon 865-powered models. We must add, that OPPO admitted that the benchmark test was conducted using ice-sealed mode in the laboratory. This resulted in externally-assisted heat dissipation, something that cannot be achieved under room temperature. So, the score listed by AnTuTu for the Find X2 Pro is considerably lower – 611627 points.OPPO Find X2 Pro

We can’t rely on a test that wasn’t conducted under normal conditions to judge how the phone fare but then, the device is a decent flagship model that can stand on par with other SD 865 models. For comparison, the Black Shark 3 which is a gaming phone scored 620,952 points while the upcoming Nubia Red Magic 5G has a score of 633,724 points.
