Xu Qi, the Vice President of Realme, has just announced that the Realme X2 series and the Realme Q will soon receive an update for the RealmeUI. The company has opened the open beta for the latest custom skin, which is based on Android 10, and the stable build should follow in the arriving weeks.

According to the senior executive, Realme plans on updating every smartphone model from the brand to the latest Android 10 OS based RealmeUI. In other words, your Realme smartphone is eligible for a notable major upgrade. The open beta for the Realme X2 started on the 9th of March, while the X2 Pro open beta starts on 11th March 2020.

The Realme Q, on the other hand, will receive the official update on 15th March. Notably, the Realme X series, including the Realme X Youth Edition, has already received the new system update back on 25th February 2020. For those unaware, Realme smartphones have generally launched with the Android based ColorOS custom skin. It is a proprietary UI from Oppo, which Realme was a subsidiary of before becoming independent.

It was a heavily modified version of Android. But, the RealmeUI, on the other hand, follows a simpler and cleaner aesthetic. The new UI from the Chinese brand is more in line with stock Android, similar to OxygenOS from OnePlus. The new software houses various new features and functions and is based on the latest Android 10.
