Xiaomi‘s latest flagship series, the Mi 10, is expected to launch by the end of this month. The smartphone initially launched first in its home country, China, but will see a global release on 27th March 2020. This is further cemented by a Mi device passing the SIRIM certification in Malaysia, indicating an imminent launch.

The launch event will occur on 27th March 2020 at 14:00 GMT+1 and will be live streamed to major social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. The reason for online conferences is due to the ongoing Coronavirus epidemic. In the launch event, the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will be announced for the global market, with reports portraying that Malaysia will soon receive the new flagship series.

Recently, a Xiaomi device with a model number M2001J2G had passed Malaysia’s SIRIM certification. This is near the Mi 10 launch event and is very likely for the Mi 10 announcement in the country. According to the listing, the smartphone, which had just gotten certified, supports 5G (700MHz, 3500MHz and 3700MHz), WiFi 6 (802.11ax), Wireless Power Transfer, and NFC.

For those unaware, the latest flagship model from Xiaomi sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC. They feature a high 90Hz refresh rate AMOLED display and feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage as well. One of the primary differences between the base and Pro variant is the 108 megapixel primary lens on the latter which also features a 10x hybrid zoom lens and telephoto lens. This makes the device share the same DxOMark score as Oppo Find X2 Pro, the highest scoring smartphone till date.
