Xiaomi-backed Redmi is confirmed to launch its flagship smartphone — Redmi K30 Pro in China later this month. As the launch date is nearing, more information about the device keeps surfacing online.

Ahead of the launch, most of the specifications of the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro has been leaked online. Probably the only thing left is the pricing and availability information. Well, the company’s executive has now hinted at the phone’s pricing.

Redmi Product Director Wang Teng has hinted through his Weibo account in response to a user’s question that the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro will be priced higher than 3,000 yuan, which is roughly $430.

This pricing information is in line with the previous report which speculated that the phone could have a starting price of 3000-3500 yuan, based on the statements of Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing. However, to know for sure, we’ll have to wait for a couple of weeks more for the official launch.

The Redmi K30 Pro is expected to come with 6.67-inch OLED Full HD+ display with in-screen fingerprint. It will feature a pop-up selfie camera and a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 quad camera system on the back.

Under the hood, the device will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and may pack 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It is speculated that there could be a variant of the phone called K30 Pro Zoom Edition.

While the launch of K30 Pro smartphone in China is confirmed to take place this month, the company has not yet revealed an exact launch date. It also remains to be seen if the company opts for an offline press conference for launching its flagship smartphone. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has scheduled a global launch event for Mi 10 series on 27th March, which will be live streamed.
