A couple of weeks ago, Realme had announced its flagship smartphone, dubbed as Realme X50 Pro 5G — an upgraded variant of the Realme X50 5G. Now, as promised, the company has today launched the same in China.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G features a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display offering Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The HDR10 complaint screen of the phone is also integrated with an in-display fingerprint reader.

The display on the device comes with a pill-shaped cutout for housing dual camera sensors, which includes a Sony IMX616 32-megapixel primary camera sensor with f/2.5 aperture and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 105-degree field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and comes packed with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for expanding the phone’s storage capacity and VC Liquid Cooling to ensure smooth usage using heavy gaming.

On the back side, the device comes with a quad-camera setup where the camera sensors are stacked vertically. It comprises of a 64-megapixel main lens with f/1.8 aperture and 30fps 4K video shooting support, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 20x hybrid zoom support and f/2.5 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with 119-degee field-of-view and f/2.3 aperture and lastly a 2-megapixel portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture.

Connectivity options on the device include 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, dual frequency GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. It runs Android 10 operating system with the company’s own Realme UI and is powered by a 4,200mAh battery that supports 65W SuperDart fast charging technology.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G comes in Rust Red and Moss Green color options. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage costs 3,599 yuan (~$516) while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs 3,899 yuan (~$558). The top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 4,199 yuan, which is roughly $601. The smartphone is now up for pre-order and will go on sale in China from 19th March.
