Samsung has been the world’s no.1 TV company in terms of shipments for 14 successive years. Now, according to a FutureSource, a market research firm, the South Korean electronics giant was also the world’s no.1 soundbar brand from 2014 to 2019.

Samsung No. 1 Soundbar Brand

As per the report, Samsung’s market share in the soundbar market in 2019 was 21.8% based on the amount and 16.5% by quantity. The difference between the second top brand was about 8% in terms of amount. The South Korean tech conglomerate is expected to retain its position this year as well.

Lately, Samsung Electronics launched its 2020 Q series lineup of soundbars. They come with Q-Symphony technology, which won the highest innovation award at CES in January. The 2019 models like ‘HW-Q90R’ and ‘HW-Q80R’ were among the best-received soundbars by both customers and media in the US and Europe. Samsung predicted the global soundbar market to exceed 18.78 million units in 2019 and also anticipates it to cross 20 million in 2022.

“We will remain the world’s no.1 in the tv and soundbar market due to the competitiveness of audio technology accumulated over the years”, boasts Cho Sung-hyuk, managing director of Samsung Electronics’ video display business.
