Xiaomi‘s latest crowdfunding product is the Morfun Smart Instant Tea Bar Machine. The machine has just been launched on the Youpin crowdfunding website. priced at 499 yuan ($70).
The Morfun Smart Instant Tea Bar Machine is actually like a hot water dispenser and comes in a white body. The device can be used indoors and outdoors and isn’t too bulky. The product equally uses a double-layer integrated design, which allows you to drink water without carrying a cup. It uses a hidden bucket design whereby the refillable water bottle is kept in an internal compartment just like the regular water dispenser.
In terms of function, Morfun Smart Instant Hot water dispenser utilises an instant 3-seconds heat technology which produces hot water in just 3 seconds. Thus, users can drink hot water without waiting for a long time. Also, the device is equipped with a responsive touchscreen control as well as several heating modes. If you don’t want to use the touchscreen to control the dispenser, you can as well turn on the smart WiFi mode of the tea bar machine to remotely control the boiling water. It supports MIJIA app control. Apart from controlling the device, the MIJIA app also reminds you to drink water which is a way of ensuring that there is sufficient water intake every day.

You don’t need to worry about cleaning the pipes as it supports automatic pipe clearing function. The water is also safe for drinking as the dispenser is equipped with a built-in storage layer, HEPA fine filter air vents, all manufactured from food contact grade materials.
So far the crowdfunding exercise has been a huge success with 2525 backers raising 1259975 yuan. The product is expected to start shipping to backers in China from April 26. We can’t say when Xiaomi will make this available outside China but the IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaigns for the WalkingPad R1 Pro, Oclean X, IMILAB EC2 security camera and lately, the Himo H1 e-bike gives us hope that we’ll soon start seeing more Xiaomi ecosystem products released outside China.
