Redmi K30 5G, the brand’s first 5G smartphone was announced in December 2019 but it was made available to purchase only in January 2020. Now, just after two months from its release, the brand’s general manager Lu Weibing announces a permanent price cut on all the storage variants of the handset, except for the base version.

The Redmi K30 5G is the world’s first smartphone to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset. Also, it is the cheapest phone to come with this SoC. Now, the brand reduces is price further down to make it even more affordable. However, the price cut is not applicable to the base 6GB + 64GB version, which will continue to retail for 1999 Yuan ($282).

The Redmi K30 5G will be available at a new reduced price as listed-below from 12 AM, 31st March 2020 in China.

As you can see from the above table, the base 6GB + 64GB variant does not receive any price cut and the price of 6GB + 128GB version has been only reduced by 100 Yuan ($14). However, the latter two storage configurations, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB to be exact, gets a 200 Yuan ($28) price cut each.
