Alongside the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, Qualcomm had also introduced the Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G chipsets on the day one of the Snapdragon Tech Summit yesterday. Today, the detailed information on the Snapdragon 865, 765 and 765G mobile platforms. Readers can go read about the technical specifications of the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform through its dedicated article. The SD865 requires an external X55 5G modem to connect to 5G networks. Aimed towards the upper mid-range and mid-tier markets, the SD765 and SD765G chipsets are integrated 5G modem. The first devices featuring the SD765G SoC such as Redmi K30 and OPPO Reno 3 Pro 5G will break cover this month. Nokia Mobile is expected to announce SD765 driven smartphone in Q1 2020.

The Snapdragon 765G SoC is 7nm octa-core processor that includes one Kryo 475 Prime (Cortex-A76) CPU working at 2.4GHz, one Kryo 475 Gold (Cortex-A76) CPU clocking at 2.2GHz and six Kryo 475 Silver (Cortex-A55) working at 1.8GHz. On the SD765, the Kryo 475 Prime (Cortex-A76) CPU clocks at 2.3GHz and rest of its CPU cores are same as SD765G.

People with technical knowledge will be disappointed to see Qualcomm still using Cortex-A76 based CPU cores on SD765 and SD765G. In comparison, the mid-range Exynos 980 from Samsung comes with Cortex-A77 cores.
