With the advent of 5G, manufacturers now have a reason to jack up the price of their phones. The increase in price is not limited to flagship phones but also mid-range phones with 5G support. However, 5G is not the only reason why phones cost more this year.
For example, in India, the GST tax for mobile phones has been increased from 12% to 18% and it has prompted manufacturers to raise the prices of their products sold in the market.
