Earlier today (1st May 2020), it was officially confirmed that the latest flagship series, the Meizu 17, will arrive with 90Hz high refresh rate display panels across the lineup. In other words, the fast and smoother display will be a standard across the premium flagship series.

The Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro will feature a Samsung AMOLED display, with an expected FHD+ resolution and a punch hole camera on the front. The news regarding the refresh rate being standard was shared on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging website, which also hinted at its advantages in mobile gaming. The faster refresh rate is not only limited to a smoother UI, but also to an overall enjoyable gameplay experience as well.

The Meizu 17 series is the Chinese company’s flagship and will arrive with top notch specs. This includes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC alongside LPDDR5 memory. It will also support 5G networking (SA and NSA Dual mode 5G) and feature unique camera module on the rear. The series will arrive on 8th May 2020 and will likely be revealed through a live stream online. So stay tuned.
