Earlier today (11th May 2020), Xiaomi launched a new model under its popular Redmi K30 lineup. The new device is the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition, which features Qualcomm’s newly launched Snapdragon 768G and is priced at 1,999 Yuan (roughly 282 US Dollars).

The Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition is the first smartphone in the world to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G. The processor is currently the most powerful mid range chip from Qualcomm and is an overclocked version of the SD765G. The processor is built on a 7nm EUV process and is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition features a 6.67 inch 120Hz display with a dual punch hole selfie camera on the front with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Its primary sensor is a 64 megapixel shooter alongside wide angle lens, super macro camera, and a depth of field camera while the front has a 20 megapixel sensor alongside another depth of field camera for selfies.

The device will be available in four colors, including Mint Ice Blue, which is a new color in the series, along with the original color variants that were available for the base Redmi K30 5G variants. Furthermore, it is powered by a large 4,500mAh battery that also supports up to 30W fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the device supports dual band 5G, NFC, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an infrared remote control, Type-C port, and more. So for those interested, the device will go on sale on 14th May 2020 in China.
