Redmi 9 pre-sale to start on June 24 in China

Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 9 series in India in March. Soon after its launch, it was reported that the Redmi Note 9 series will not be releasing in China as the company will be focusing on selling 5G-ready Redmi phones in the country. However, it recently launched a 4G version of the Redmi 10X and the upcoming Redmi 9 is also a 4G phone. It is speculated that the Redmi 9 could be the last 4G phone from the company in China.

Currently, the Redmi 10X 5G with a starting price of 1,599 Yuan (~$226) is the cheapest 5G phone from the brand. It will take only a few months for 5G phones to arrive with 999 Yuan (~$141) starting price in China.

Coming back to Xiaomi Redmi 9 for China, it is speculated to arrive in new configurations such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. In Spain and Malaysia, the Redmi 9 is available in 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage versions and colors like Carbon Gray, Sunset Purple and Ocean Green. China is expected to receive the phone in colors like Carbon Black, Neon Blue, Pink, and Dark Green. The rest of the specs of the Redmi 9 for China could be identical to its global version.
