POCO India earlier disclosed that the POCO M2 Pro will be launched in the South-East Asian country on July 7. Ahead of the launch, the model has reportedly appeared on GeekBench.

We couldn’t independently locate the listing on GeekBench’s database but a Twitter user shared a screenshot of the Geekbench listing. The model is listed as Xiaomi POCO M2 Pro and would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The processor listed as Gram will team up with 6GB of RAM while the phone will run on Android 10.

The Poco M2 Pro is expected to arrive as the leader of a new M series that POCO is introducing. The phone had earlier received certification from India’s BIS as well as Bluetooth and WiFi certification.

The phone is rumoured to be an upgraded Redmi K30 Pro but the M2003J6CI model number of the device from certification sites is similar to the Redmi Note 9 series. The design revealed on the launch teaser video also bears some resemblance with the Redmi note 9 Pro European variant. Whatever it is, we’ll likely be seeing a rebranded model launched as the M2 Pro.
