Back in June, George Zhao, the president of Honor brand revealed that they will be soon launching gaming laptops. A few days back, a report also confirmed the same, which also added that Huawei will be joining the bandwagon as well. Now, new teasers on Weibo confirm the silicon that will be used in these notebooks.

Earlier today, AMD China’s official Weibo account posted a picture of a building with “HI AMD”. Similarly, an hour later, Honor’s Weibo account shared an image of another building with “HI Honor” marking.

We believe these two buildings are nothing but offices of Honor and AMD greeting each other. Above all, it teases a collaboration between the two companies.

This could mean only one thing and that is none other than Honor using AMD chips in its upcoming gaming laptops. As per recently, these gaming laptops will launch as early as this month.

Since the teasers have begun, we can expect Honor to soon drop features of its forthcoming notebooks in the coming days. If they do, the brand’s first gaming laptops will be indeed launching by the end of July or maybe in August.

Honor will not be the first smartphone maker to launch gaming laptops as Xiaomi has already introduced its own lineup last year.
