In the second quarter of this year in China, while Huawei continued dominating the local smartphone market, Apple has seen a surge in demand for iPhones. As per the report, the company has witnessed a 225 percent quarterly growth in sales volume.

The reason is being attributed to price cuts as the Chinese market is slowing recovering from weak demand because of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the quarter that ended in June, Apple sold 13 million units of iPhone in China, reports research firm CINNO.
