Earlier this week, Xiaomi confirmed that it will be holding a virtual event on Aug. 11. However, it did not share any details on the products that will be announced on the said date. Rumors are rife that Xiaomi’s new Mi 10 series flagship will be made official through the event. The rumor mill has been calling the device with different names such as Xiaomi Mi 10s and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Plus. Today, the company confirmed through a Weibo poster that it will be introduced as Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition.

Xiaomi will be celebrating its 10th anniversary by announcing the Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition. The event will commence at 7:30 PM local time in China on Aug. 11. The Weibo poster has no information on the specifications of the device.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition seems to be the M2007J1SC handset that was certified by the 3C authority last month. Recently, the Xiaomi phone was spotted at benchmarking platforms like AnTuTu and Geekbench.

The device will be housing a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery. Apart from carrying support for 120W fast charging, it is speculated that it will come with support for 55W super-fast wireless charging technology.
