Samsung just launched the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Tab S7 series, Galaxy Watch 3, and Galaxy Buds Live at Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this week. The company even teased Galaxy Z Fold 2, which is expected to launch sometime later in October. At around the same time, the company may also launch Galaxy Book Flex 5G at SDC (Samsung Developer Conference) 2020.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Featured

The original Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion debuted in October 2019 as the world’s first laptops with QLED display. Later, the company announced another model in the series called Galaxy Book 𝛂 (Alpha) at CES 2020.

Now, the South Korea tech giant files a trademark application (via LetsGoDigital) at the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) for the branding “Samsung Book Flex 5G”. This suggests the company may launch an updated 5G variant of Galaxy Book Flex on its first anniversary.

The trademark was filed by a firm going by the name of Abril Abogados on behalf of Samsung. This very same company was responsible for filing trademarks for the Galaxy Ax1 series in July 2019.

Further, though the trademark does not cont include the word “Galaxy”, the product will be indeed called “Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G”. For those unaware, some of the trademarks for Galaxy products have lacked the keyword before so it is not a big deal.

Anyway, it will be not the world’s first 5G laptop as that mantle goes to Lenovo Flex 5G powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx.
