Samsung has announced the Galaxy Fit 2, a successor to the Galaxy Fit that was announced last year. The new tracker comes in two colors and boasts a 2-week battery life.

The Galaxy Fit 2 has a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch display with up to 70 different watch faces, some of which are customizable. Samsung claims the fitness tracker can automatically detect and track five different activities. However, the total number of activities it can track and monitor is more than 90.

There is also sleep tracking, a calorie counter, a heart rate monitor, distance, and more. The Galaxy Fit 2 has an IP68 rating, so you can wear it in the shower or even when it is raining.

The 195mAh battery is expected to provide up to 15 days of battery life on a single charge and there is compatibility with Android and iOS devices. Connection is via Bluetooth 5.0. Samsung is pitting this as an alternative to the Galaxy Watch for those who want a smaller and less expensive device for health tracking.

The Galaxy Fit 2 will be available in Germany on October 2 for €46.76 and buyers will be able to choose from orange and black colorways. There is no news of the price and availability in other countries.
