After publishing a Smart TV shipment forecast report for the Chinese market, IDC has today released a report on China’s Wireless Headset Equipment Market. It reveals that shipments of wireless headsets in China reached 42.56 million units in H1 2020.

The numbers represent a 24 percent year-on-year increase. The report claims that the true wireless earphones accounted for 64 percent in the shipment of 42.56 million units, which shows a 49 percent year-on-year growth.

The leading brands for wireless headsets in China include Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi, Amoi, and Meander. While Apple accounted for 18.1 percent market share, Huawei and Xiaomi managed to grab 10.1 percent and 8.3 percent market respectively.

Amoi accounted for 8.3 percent of the market share while Meander managed to grab around 5.6 percent of the wireless headsets market in China. The report further adds that the growth of active noise cancellation earphones is noticeable and the category could see rapid growth in the near future.

It’s noteworthy that the top three manufacturers of China’s Bluetooth headset market in the first half of this year accounted for only 37 percent of the overall market share, indicating that the market is quite diversified, mainly because of low entry barriers.
