OnePlus has released a new update for the OnePlus 9RT smartphones in India. The latest version, OxygenOS 14.0.0.600, includes the April 2024 Android security patch and introduces several new functionalities aimed at improving the user experience.
Key features of the update:
- An “app-specific volume” setting that allows users to adjust the volume individually for each app.
- Users can now create frameless photo collages directly in the Photos app.
- A “Partial screenshot” feature is added to the Smart Sidebar for more flexible screen capture options.
- A new shortcut enables turning the torch on by holding the Volume Down button when the screen is off.
- Enhanced app searching capabilities in the taskbar, where users can search for apps by entering the first letter of the app name.
- The update also focuses on improving system stability and overall performance.
The update has the latest Android security patch. It’s currently reaching a few devices first, but it’ll be more widely available soon. If you haven’t got the update notification, you can manually check by going to Settings, then About Device, then OxygenOS, and tapping Check for Update. OnePlus has also made bug reporting easier via the Google Dialer by dialing *#800#.
