With the OnePlus 8T launching in just two days, a new leak has surfaced that reveals the camera specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The new flagship will reportedly feature a 48 megapixel quad camera setup.

According to a tweet from Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the new OnePlus device will house a quad camera setup on the rear, which comprises of a 48 megapixel primary sensor, along with a 16 megapixel wide angle lens, 5 megapixel macro shooter, and a 2 megapixel black and white sensor. On the other hand, the front will only arrive with a single selfie shooter.

The primary sensor on the rear is a Sony IMX586 sensor as per the leak, while the front sensor is a Sony IMX471 lens. Unfortunately, we have no way of confirming this information and we would have to wait for the official October 14 launch to know for sure. However, this new report is in line with previous reports that we had covered that also detailed a similar camera setup for the rear and front.

A notable exclusion is the telephoto lens that was featured in last year’s OnePlus 7T. Furthermore, the device is expected to arrive with top notch specs and features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and a 6.5 inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz high refresh rate. So stay tuned for more updates and the upcoming launch event, as we will be covering the live conference as well.
