In a bid to expand its presence in the wearables market, South Korea-based LG has today launched a new true wireless earphone — LG TONE Free with model number HBS-TFN7. This newly launched product is priced at 219,000 won, which is roughly $190.

The highlight of the earphones is that it comes with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology that tunes out ambient noise and thus allows users to have better sound output without any disturbances.

It comes with adjustable ear gels with patented twist-fit Vortex Ribs design deliver a tighter in-ear seal to minimize outside noise seepage. The company has also confirmed that the earphones have been tuned by British company Meridian Audio.

The company is offering Meridian’s EQ sound settings with four customizable presets for better output — Natural for clean and balanced sound; Immersive for a more three-dimensional performance; Bass Boost for extra power and depth; and Treble Boost for better clarity of vocals.

LG is bundling its UVnano charging case which was first introduced with the TONE Free FN6 model. The case uses ultraviolet light which helps to keep the wearer’s ears cleaner by eliminating 99.9 percent of E. coli and S. aureus bacteria. Now, there’s a new LED lighting on top of the case for indicating the charging level and UVnano status.

As for the battery life, the LG TONE Free HBS-TFN7 is powered by a 390mAh battery and with fast charging, it offers one hour of playback with just five minutes of charging. The charging case provides additional 21 hours of usage.
