Redmi, the company backed by Xiaomi, launched its Redmi Note 9 series this year, which already has about five devices in the lineup. Now, ahead of the launch of its successor, the company is gearing up to launch a couple of more devices in the series.
Now, Lu Weibing, General Manager of the Redmi brand and President of Xiaomi Group China, has teased in a new Weibo post that the upcoming Redmi Note 9 series smartphones will be launched in the coming days.
He has teased new surprising products for the Double 11 sale in China, which is likely referring to the Redmi Note 9 Standard or Base Edition and the Redmi Note 9 High Edition, both of which were recently leaked.
Based on the recent leak, the Standard Edition features an LCD panel of 6.53 inches with a punch-hole placed at the top-left corner. The 20:9 screen offers a 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ resolution. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset under the hood.

For photography, the phone is said to have a 13-megapixel front camera and 48-megapixel triple rear cameras. The leaks also mentions that it is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 9 High Edition comes with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC and packs a 4,820mAh battery along with support for 33W fast charging technology.
There’s a quad-camera setup on the back and could be the world’s first smartphone to feature Samsung’s HM2 108MP sensor. On the front side, the phone will have a 16MP snapper. Looking at the specifications, the phone seems like a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite smartphone that was launched in September this year.
