Back in October, OPPO launched the OPPO A15 smartphone in India. Ahead of the launch, the device along with the A15s was spotted on several certifications. Now, the supposed sibling, the OPPO A15s appears on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification website suggesting a global launch.

As tipped by Mukul Sharma, a device with model number CPH2179 appears on the SIRIM database. Now, a month ago, a device with the same model number appeared on Singapore’s IMDA and Europe’s EEC certification listed under OPPO. And among this, the IMDA website revealed that the device will be called A15s.

Coming back, the model number is listed as a mobile station with GSM, LTE support. This indicates that the A15s will come with 4G support just like the A15. Not to mention this device has already got India’s BIS certification recently. All this indicates that the device could launch soon globally.

Besides, we think the ‘s’ in the A15 moniker suggests that it could share specs with the OPPO A15. However, we aren’t really sure if it’s a rebrand of OPPO A15 for other markets because their model numbers(CPH2185, CPH2179) are different. Anyway, OPPO hasn’t confirmed anything about this device, and hence, take this guess with a pinch of salt.
