Xiaomi initially debuted the Redmi Note 9 series earlier this year in India. But the Redmi Note 9 models launched in China are different devices altogether. This series includes two 5G phones (Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G) and a single 4G handset (Redmi Note 9 4G).

Now, less than two weeks (13 days to be exact) from them being going on sale, Redmi accomplished to sell over 1 million units of these smartphones. The brand revealed its new achievement on Weibo.

In case you do not know, Xiaomi’s Redmi number, Redmi A, and Redmi Note series of handsets have always been global bestsellers. For instance, the company has sold over 140 million units of Redmi Notes worldwide as of November. These phones are popular because of the value they offer for the price.

That said, although the new Redmi Note 9 series is exclusive to China, the same phones are expected to release with different branding in global markets. The Pro variant is already available in Europe as Mi 10T Lite with a 64MP primary camera. This handset will be also launching as Mi 10i in India. Similarly, the 4G model will soon go official as Redmi 9 Power and Redmi 9T with an additional camera.
