Xiaomi has been officially confirming several features of the upcoming Mi 11 through a bunch of teasers on Weibo. Today, the company has confirmed yet another feature, and this time, it concerns the durability of the display.

Xiaomi, through a Weibo post, confirmed that Mi 11 will feature the latest Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus™. If you recall, this came as an upgrade to the Gorilla® Glass 6 back in July. As Xiaomi says, Victus has 2x improved scratch resistance than the predecessor.

Additionally, Xiaomi says that the new-gen glass has 1.5x better drop resistance. Precisely, it can also retain the structural integrity as long as it is dropped on surfaces up to 2m in height. Also, it’s scratch resistance is up to 4 times better than the other aluminosilicate glasses in the market.

In fact, the company has shared a video on Weibo which shows that Gorilla Glass Victus can withstand pressure from a 100kg weight. Anyway, that’s not the only feature Xiaomi Mi 11 is going to get. The company has already confirmed that the device will Xiaomi Mi 11 flagship smartphone teased to feature advanced display technology.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is shaping out to be one of the sort out flagships of 2021 even before the year is born. We are just less than three days away from the official reveal where the company will unveil the world’s first Snapdragon 888 smartphone.
