The official ROG website by ASUS now has a landing page for the forthcoming ROG Phone. 5. It not only confirms the moniker of the device but also reveals that it will go official on March 10.

The official listing reveals that the ASUS ROG Phone 5 launch event will take place at 7 PM (UTC+8) in Taipei. In Berlin, it will be available at 12 AM (UTC+1), whereas in New York, it will begin at 6 AM (UTC+8) on March 9.

The official page has no details on the specifications of the ROG Phone 5. It appears that the company has decided to skip the number 4 for its next ROG phone as it is considered a bad omen.

ASUS ROG Phone 5 March 10 launch event

In terms of specifications, the ASUS ROG Phone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED screen that offers a refresh rate of 144Hz. It will be equipped with Snapdragon 888 mobile platform and it may come in 8 GB and 16 GB RAM editions. The TENAA listing has revealed that it has a dual-cell 6,000mAh battery and it is likely to support 65W rapid charging. For photography, it has a triple camera array led by a 64-megapixel main snapper. It also features a small secondary display on the back.

These specifications belong to the ASUS_I005DA variant. The TENAA certification body has also approved another variant has a model number ASUS_I005DB. This model is expected to arrive similar to the I005DA edition. However, model B seems to an inferior version in terms of design. It is unclear whether it will come with weaker specs as compared to model A. The ROG Phone 5 is also rumored to land in India in the coming month.
