Samsung, breaking with the tradition, started offering the S-Pen stylus with the Galaxy S-series phones, starting with the Galaxy S21 lineup. Earlier, the support for stylus was limited to the Galaxy Note series only.

The reason behind this change is rumored to be the discontinuation of the Galaxy Note series. Several reports have pointed out that Samsung is done with the Note-series and isn’t expected to launch the Note 21 series this year.

Now, the latest report from ‘Ice universe’ claims that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be the spiritual successor of the Note 20 lineup. It is said to double up as a Note series device and come with the latest cutting-edge technologies.

There is also speculation that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will become the second non-Note series smartphone from Samsung to come with support for the S-Pen stylus. The phone could also be the first from the South Korean giant to feature under-display camera sensor.

While not much is known about the phone’s specifications at this time, we expect the device to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with at least 256GB of internal storage. It will be running the latest Android 11 operating system with the company’s own One UI 3.5 on top.

Reports indicate that Samsung will start mass producing the upcoming Galaxy Z-series foldable smartphone around June and thus, the device should get launched around September, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
