Nubia unveiled the Red Magic 6 series made up of the Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro on March 4 this year in China. There are indications that the company is preparing to launch the flagship gaming smartphone for the global market soon.
Nubia today announced via its official website that the Red Magic 6 series will make its global entrance on April 9. Accordingly, the two smartphones will be up for grabs on April 9 for those willing to make a pre-order. The models will go on their first sale on April 15 which is a week later. Buyers will only be able to get them in a single memory option each and just one color option will be available for a start.
The Nubia Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro come with several similar features such as a Snapdragon 888 chipset. The two models equally sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a design that looks and feel like a gaming phone that it is. Some of the game-centric features onboard include physical shoulder buttons. The major differences between the two models lie in the choice of memory option. While the Red Magic 6 comes with 12GB RAM and 128GB of storage, the Red Magic 6 Pro packs 16GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Yet another major difference between the two models is the back panel design. The vanilla Red Magic 6 utilizes a glass back panel while the 6 Pro adopts an aviation-grade aluminum panel.
As for the prices, the Nubia Red Magic 6 comes with a $599 price tag and will be available in Eclipse Black. On the other hand, the Red Magic 6 Pro is priced at $699 and will be available in Moon Silver only.
