In November 2020, Micromax returned to Indian smartphone market by announcing the Micromax IN 1b and IN Note 1 smartphones. Today, the Micromax IN 1 as its third In-series handset. The aggressively priced handset offers users with key specs such as a large-sized display, a gaming-focused processor, a 48-megapixel triple camera unit, and a big battery.
Micromax IN 1 specifications and features
The Micromax IN 1 has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design. It offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 440nits brightness, and a 395ppi pixel density. It features a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel, which carries support for features like screen flash, face beauty, HDR, night mode, and portrait mode.
The rear camera module features a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. It offers photography features such as an LED flash, autofocus, portrait mode, night mode, HDR, AI, panorama, GIF, slow-motion video shooting, and 1080p video recording. Like the other IN-series phones, the IN 1 features an X-patterned rear shell. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the backside of the device.
The Micromax IN 1 draws power from the Helio G80 chipset and it comes with up to 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. For storage, it offers up to 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage and a microSD card slot. The 5,000mAh battery of the IN 1 supports 18W charging through USB-C. It offers other features like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Lastly, it comes preinstalled with the stock version of Android 10 OS and offers Widevine L1 certification for watching streaming HD content through OTT apps. The handset will be treated with Android 11 OS in May.
Micromax IN 1 price in India
The Micromax IN 1is slotted between the IN 1b and IN Note 1 handsets. The 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage editions of the IN 1 are priced at Rs 10,499 (~$148) and Rs 11.999 (~$165), respectively. However, the handset will be available with respective introductory prices of Rs 9,999 (~$138) and Rs 10,499 (~$148) for a limited time. It comes in colors like Purple and Blue. Micromaxinfo.com and Flipkart will carry out the first sales of the IN 1 from March 26 in India.
