Samsung launched the Galaxy A31 in India in June 2020. The company debuted a single 6GB + 128GB variant priced at ₹21,999. Since its release, the smartphone has received three price cuts. Now, after the launch of its successor Galaxy A32, the South Korean tech giant has once again dropped its price.

As mentioned above, Samsung debuted the Galaxy A31 (6GB + 128GB) in India for ₹21,999. The device is sold in three colors in the country, namely Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush Black, and Prism Crush White.

A month after its launch, the handset’s price was dropped by ₹1,000. Hence, it retailed for ₹20,999 for a short period of time until the price was reverted. Then, in November, the company once again announced a price cut of ₹1,000.

A few weeks later, Samsung reduced the price of Galaxy A31 once again in December. Since this price drop, the phone had been selling for ₹17,999 in India.

Now, with the new ₹1,000 price cut, which was announced yesterday, the Galaxy A31 costs only ₹16,999. In other words, less than a year after its launch, the smartphone’s price has been officially slashed by ₹5,000.

The Galaxy A31 launched with Android 10-based One UI 2.x. Unlike other similarly priced Samsung handsets, it is yet to receive the Android 11 (One UI 3.x) update.
