Last month, OPPO launched the OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G as its most affordable 5G smartphone in India to date. A few weeks later, the company now says that this moniker will go to a different phone next week. This device is none other than the upcoming OPPO A74 5G.
Earlier today, we reported that the OPPO A74 5G will be launching in India on April 20. The handset was already tipped to make its debut in the country before the official announcement.
Some hours after the company revealed the device’s launch date, OPPO India’s Vice President Tasleem Arif took to Twitter to tease the smartphone’s price. According to his tweet, the forthcoming OPPO A74 5G will cost under ₹20,000 ($269) in India.
According to previous reports, the OPPO A74 5G coming to India will be different than the handset that was released in several Asian countries earlier this month. The Indian OPPO A74 5G is said to be a rebranded OPPO A93 5G, which launched in China in January.
Hence, we can expect features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC, 6.5-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) 90Hz LCD panel with a punch-hole at the top left corner, 48MP (wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) triple camera setup, 8MP selfie camera, MicroSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11, 5,000mAh battery, and 18W fast charging via USB Type-C.
