Redmi today confirmed that the K40 Game Enhanced edition will launch in China on April 27. However, Master Lu has shared a poster on Weibo that suggests that there will be a standard edition too.

Before you get confused, there are two models of Redmi gaming smartphones that are reported to be in development. They are M2102K10C and M2104K10C. As tipster Digital Chat station says, both of them have already appeared on 3C certification authority with up to 67W charging support.
Now, the Master Lu Weibo post shows a screenshot of the benchmarks of a Redmi device with model number M2104K10AC. The device in testing has a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB storage, and an FHD+ display.
That is, the resolution of the display is about 2400×1080 pixels which is also similar to the Redmi K40. Anyway, the M2104K10AC device scores 758,248 overall on the Master Lu benchmarks. This splits to above 268,303 in CPU, 249,963 in GPU, and the rest in other categories.
It will be interesting to see if Xiaomi launches a “Standard version” alongside the Game Enhanced edition in China. Speaking of version, a similar device has been registered under POCO in India and it is expected to be the F-series device for the country.
Either way, the Redmi Gaming phone is said to feature a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED E4 screen with 144Hz refresh rate, the Enhanced Edition will have the Dimensity 1200 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery.
We can also expect the device to come with features like a dedicated COD theme, optimized for “PeaceKeeper Elite” with better haptic vibrations, TUV Rheinland’s High-Game performance certification for 5G connectivity, mechanical shoulder buttons, 64MP Sony IMX686 camera, run MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
