Realme recently brought two new entry-level phones to the European market: the Realme C21 and the Realme Narzo 30A which is the first Narzo phone launched in the old continent. Given that they are actually sold in the same price range, it is not easy for everyone to understand the differences between these two handsets. That is the reason why we believe a comparison between their specifications will be very helpful. Each of these devices has its pro and cons and we hope you will understand which one is the best for you through this comparison.

Design

Despite they belong to different series, Realme C21 and Realme Narzo 30A have similar aesthetics. What changes are the color variants and the pattern of the rear cover, but for the rest, they are pretty much the same. They both feature a rear-mounted circular fingerprint reader and a square-shaped camera module, as well as a 20:9 display with a waterdrop notch. The Realme C21 is the first phone which received the Smartphone High Reliability Certification by TUV Rheinland: it passed more than 20 tests to get it, which indicates it has a strong built quality. Further, the Realme C21 is thinner and lighter than the Realme Narzo 30A because it has a smaller battery.

Display

There are only marginal differences between the displays of Realme C21 and Realme Narzo 30A. Both are IPS panels with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a diagonal of 6.5 inches. With the Realme Narzo 30A, you get a higher brightness with about 470 nits. As you probably noticed, they are below-average display, but they are sufficient panels for daily use and, thanks to their pretty good brightness, they have good visibility outdoor.

Specs & Software

The Realme Narzo 30A is the most powerful device of the duo because it packs a stronger chipset: we are talking about the Helio G70 by Mediatek. It is a better chipset than the Helio G85 found on the Realme C21, for both CPU and GPU performance, but it still remains cheap SoC. Realme C21 and Realme Narzo 30A pack 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal storage depending on the chosen variant. In each case, you can expand the internal storage with a dedicated micro SD slot. The handsets also come with dual SIM slots but, unfortunately, they do not support NFC.

Camera

If you want a more versatile rear camera, go for the Realme C21. These phones come with a 13 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor, but the Realme C21 offers an additional third 2 MP sensor for macros. On the other hand, the Realme Narzo 30A is able to click better selfies with its 8 MP front camera, while Realme C21 has a weaker 5 MP front snapper. The differences are not big and these devices are not camera phones: if you are looking for a camera phone, you will be left disappointed by their photo quality.

Battery

The Realme Narzo 30A offers a longer battery life simply because it has a bigger battery: with a capacity of 6000 mAh and its efficient display, the Realme Narzo 30A is one of the best battery phones out there. But the Realme C21 is still a great battery phone with its 5000 mAh battery. Both support reverse charging and can be used as power banks.

Price

The price of the Realme C21 in the configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage is €129/$155 in the European market. In order to get the configuration of the Realme Narzo 30A with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, you need €139/$168. The handsets are also available in other markets such as India with different prices. The Realme Narzo 30A wins the comparison due to its bigger battery and better chipset, as well as a better selfie camera. But the Realme C21 offers an additional camera and a sleeker design. Further, it has the TUV Rheinland certification. Given that the price difference between these devices is minimal, on the paper it looks like the Realme Narzo 30A is a better deal. But even if you grab a unit of the Realme C21, you will get a great entry-level device.
