Xaomi is speculated to be working on a Dimensity 900 powered Redmi Note 10 series phone for China. However, fresh developments reveal that it could be working on a phone called the Redmi Note 8 (2021) for select markets. Here is all the information that is known about the Redmi Note 8 (2021) smartphone.

A new Xiaomi phone with model number M1908C3JGG has appeared in the database of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification site. An IMEI database listing of the phone reveals that this device could be a new Redmi Note 8 series smartphone.

Xiaomi tipster Kacper Skrzypek who was first to sport the IMEI listing claimed that this phone may debut as the Redmi Note 8 (2021). He added that this moniker was found on one of the Xiaomi websites.

According to Twitter handle Xiaomiui, the Redmi Note 8 (2021) is codenamed as Biloba and it is planned for limited markets like global, EU, and Russia. Apart from the M1908C3JGG model number, it appears that the M1908C3J1 also belongs to the same phone.

Xiaomi claimed that the Redmi Note 8 (2021) has an IPS LCD screen that delivers a high refresh rate 120Hz. It has a waterdrop notch display, but its exact size is not known. The Helio G85 could be present under the helm of the device. It is expected to arrive with 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB / 128 GB of built-in storage, and a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.

There is no word on the front camera of the Redmi Note 8 (2021), but its rear camera setup may include a 48-megapixel main camera, an ultrawide lens, a depth sensor, and a tele-macro camera. The FCC listing has confirmed that it has a 4,000mA battery and it will offer MIUI 12.5 out-of-the-box experience.
