With India struggling with the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, Oppo is extending its product service warranty to encourage its users to stay at home and follow precautionary lockdown measures.
The Chinese tech giant has just announced that it is extending the repair warranty for all of its product until 30th June 2021. This is only applicable to products whose warranty expires during this lockdown period. Notably, the move from the brand arrives amid the recent resurgence of cases of COVID-19 in the country. Furthermore, this is also in line with the local government’s directives. Amid the crisis, the company’s service centers will remain closed until the lockdown is in place in different parts of India.
Furthermore, the company has also provided the WhatsApp number to its Indian customers (+91-9871502777) to check the status of the operations in real time. The extension of warranty will cover multiple products like smartphones and accessories such as chargers, data cable, and earphones. Oppo has even setup an after sales customer service in the region that is powered by an AI powered Chatbot called ‘Ollie,’ which is available 24X7 for its customers.
The company has claimed that this bot can resolve 94.5 percent of their querries of its customers. To further support the local government, the smartphone maker has even donated 300 Oppo Band Style to Hyberabad police workforce recently, along with donations of 1,000 oxygenators and 500 breathing machines as well.
