Xiaomi launched the Mi 10i as a rebranded Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in India in January. The device debuted with MIUI 12 based on Android 10 despite releasing in early 2021. Now, months after its debut, the handset has finally started receiving the Android 11 update.

The Mi 10i sold in India is exactly the same as the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G available in India. This duo has another clone in the form of Mi 10T Lite with a 64MP primary camera instead of a 108MP sensor.

It is worth noting that the Mi 10T Lite was announced first. Hence, it was also the first to get the Android 11 update in February, followed by the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in March. Now, the Mi 10i has also begun to receive the update.

The Xiaomi Mi 10i Android 11 update arrives with build number V12.0.2.0.RJSINXM and April 2021 security patches. The update is currently marked as ‘Stable Beta’. This means it is only available for a select few users as part of the batched rollout. Anyway, it should be seeded out to all the units in the coming days.

The next notable system update for the Mi 10i will be MIUI 12.5. But unfortunately, Xiaomi is yet to reveal when this update will be released for this smartphone.
