At 20:00 GMT+8 today, POCO will be holding a global launch event to announce the POCO M3 Pro 5G. It will be arriving as the first M-series phone from the company with 5G support. Ahead of the launch, YouTube channel ChinaMobileMag has released an unboxing video of the POCO M3 Pro 5G to showcase its appearance in reality.

The unboxing video reveals that the retail package of the POCO M3 Pro 5G will include a few documents, a charger, a USB-C cable, and a transparent case apart from the handset. The front side of the phone features a punch-hole screen with a slightly thick chin. It carries support for a 90Hz refresh rate. For security, it features a side-facing fingerprint reader.

The handset is seen running on MIUI 12.0.5 based Android 11 OS. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor and 6 GB of RAM. For storage, it has a built-in capacity of 128 GB and a hybrid SIM slot for adding a microSD card. T

The bottom edge of the phone has a microphone hole, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille. Its top edge has another speaker grille and a 3.5mm audio jack. The camera module of the device has a POCO branding and a 48-megapixel triple camera system.

Reports have claimed that the POCO M3 Pro 5G features auxiliary cameras such as a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 13-megapixel front camera. It has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W rapid charging.

Rumors are rife that it is a rebadged version of the Dimensity 700 powered Redmi Note 10 5G, which debuted in global markets in March. Fresh information shared by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore reveals that the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variants of the POCO M3 Pro 5G are priced at 199 euros and 229 euros, respectively.

The handset may go on sale on May 20. Early bird buyers can both variants for 159 euros and 199 euros, respectively, until May 26. It is expected to arrive in three colors like black, yellow, and green.
