Last week, Xiaomi confirmed the existence of a new smartphone called the Redmi Note 8 2021. The Chinese firm has released new tweets to confirm some of the key features of the smartphone.

In the below-shown poster, the Redmi Note 8 2021 can be seen sporting a waterdrop notch display on the front, and its rear features a vertical camera system. Like the original Redmi Note 8 phone from 2019, its newer version has a 6.3-inch LCD display and a 48-megapixel quad-camera system. Rumors have it that the main snapper will be joined by an ultrawide lens, a macro camera, and a depth assist lens.

It appears that the Redmi Note 8 2021 will be available in at least two colors such as Neptune Blue and Moonlight While like the original model. A fingerprint scanner can be seen on the backside of the smartphone. The Chinese firm has confirmed that the Helio G85 chipset will be present under the hood of the Note 8 2021. To recollect, the older version was equipped with the Snapdragon 665 chipset.

The Redmi Note 8 2021 was recently spotted at the FCC certification platform. It revealed that the phone will ship with MIUI 12.5 and a 4,000mAh battery. It is speculated that the phone will carry support for 22.5W fast charging. It may come with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB / 128 GB of storage.

The original Redmi Note 8 came with specs like a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen, SD665 chi, up to 6 GB of RAM, up to 128 GB of storage, a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system, a 13-megapixel selfie camera, and a 4,000mAh battery with 18W charging support.
