Recently, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M22 was spotted on Geekbench. The listing suggested this smartphone to be a rebranded Galaxy A22 (4G variant). Now, a new report confirms that the Galaxy M22 will be identical to the Galaxy M32 and will share most of its specs with the Galaxy A22.

According to a report by GalaxyClub, the forthcoming Galaxy M22 will bear the model number SM-M225FV. For those unaware, the Geekbench listing of the handset also has the same model number. However, it is worth noting that there could be other model numbers depending on regional variants. But they should only differ by the last two alphabets.

Further, the publication says that this phone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM. Whereas, its bigger brother Galaxy M32 will have 6GB RAM though it will be also featuring the same chipset.

As for optics, the Galaxy M22 is said to sport a 48MP primary camera and a 13MP selfie camera instead of 64MP and 20MP sensors like the Galaxy M32. However, it is reported to be backed by the same 6,000mAh battery. This is interesting since the Galaxy A22, on which the Galaxy M22 is based, is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery.

Last but not least, the Galaxy M22 will be available in the same colors as the Galaxy M32. These colors are Black, Blue, and White.

In a nutshell, the Samsung Galaxy M22 will be similar to the Galaxy A22, except for battery and colors. Unfortunately, there’s no official release date for any of the smartphones discussed in this article.
