Sony is making further inroads into the Indian accessories market by announcing the launch of two external microphones – the Sony ECM-W2BT and ECM-LV1 in the sub-continent. The Sony ECM-W2BT is a wireless microphone designed with a pretty strong battery that can last up to 9 hours. The omnidirectional capability of the wireless microphone means that the device can pick voice from any direction.Sony ECM-LV1 wireless microphone

Some wind and noise modulation mechanisms make it n determining voice even in sometimes extreme situations – thanks mainly to the attenuator and windscreen. With an internal microphone present in the receiver unit of the device, it is possible to perform simultaneous recording via both the mic and the receiver. The ECM-W2BT has Qualcomm’s low latency Bluetooth codec which enables seamless transmission of audio between the microphone and receiver, ranging up to 200 meters.

The ECM-LV1 also has omnidirectional audio acquisition support to yield crisp, clear, and high-quality audio output. It is a compact lavalier microphone that is compatible with several devices having a mic input. One of the features of the ECM-LV1 is that the connector powers the microphone when connected to an external input, which means that the device does not need a battery to operate. The compact microphone also has noise modulation capability using the in-built windscreen. The windscreen is capable of canceling or significantly reducing the effect of wind and breath noise.

As stated earlier, both devices will be sold at a price of Rs. 16,990 ($234) and Rs. 2,090 ($29), respectively. Both accessories are available at Sony retail outlets, Alpha flagship stores, and several other retail outlets.
