Honor may have separated from the Huawei brand after its sale last year but the company is still trying to retain Huawei’s product cycle for the brand. Just last month, the Honor MagicBook X 14/15 were unveiled in China. Honor is now rolling out the sleek notebook for the global market with Russia being its first prot of call outside China.HONOR MagicBook X 14 15 Featured 01

While we expect the company to announce the release itinerary for other markets soon, only that of Russia is knownas of this momnt. The MateBook 14 carries a price tag of RUB 49,990 (~$690) while the MateBook X 15 will retail for RUB 52,990 (~$730). The two models are currently available to buy.

The Honor MagicBook X comes in two sizes – a 14-inch model and a 15-inch model. The two models feature a premium build heralded by an aluminium unibody design. They are available in a single Glacial Silver color option which add some sleekness to the build. Honor MagicBook X

The two models utilise an IPS LCD panel with FHD resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 16:9 aspect ratio, 250 nits typical brightness level, 178° viewing angle and more. The displays are said to be certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light emission and anti-flicker eye protection. While the MagicBook X 14 measures 15.9mm in thickness and weighs 1.38kg, the 15-inch model is 16.9mm thick and weighs 1.56kg.

The two notebooks are powered by Intel’s 10th Generation processors. The base models are powered by the Core i3-10110U while the higher models are powered by the Core i5-10210U. Further, the models are available in either 8GB or 16GB of DDR4 memory bundled with either 256GB or 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSDs.Honor MagicBook X

Both laptops get their power supply from a 56Wh battery that features support for up to 65W fast charging over the USB-C port.  You also get severla ports onboard which inclludes a USB-C, USB-A 3.0 Gen1, USB-A 2.0, an HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
